Gosh

I just had a crazy night. It all started at 5:00 when my friend, Cora Owens, took me on a date. We went to Taco Amigo then went to see The Hobbit. When we got back to the car and she turned on the radio, we heard the words, "PG" and "Triple overtime." All thoughts of the beautifully written and emotionally moving film I had just seen left my brain. Pleasant Grove played against Lehi High School last night and won in quadruple overtime 109-107. I listened to the rest of the game and then called Trevor who was there. We talked a bit and it was great. Awesome job, Vikings.

But that was just the beginning.

After I hung up the phone with Trevor, I get a text from my good friend and Pleasant Grove Sports Network's play-by-play commentator, David Brinkerhoff. It read, "Hey so Jeremiah Jensen from KSL wants us to edit the film for him.  Want to come to Russ' room and help us edit? Plus you can turn Kurt's music off." In my defense, Kurt's music is about as tasteful as this.
I was in my underwear watching Saved By the Bell when I got offered the chance to edit something that would actually go on television. I am not going to lie in saying that that is one of the coolest things that has ever been offered to me.
The only problem is that it was already 11:00 and I was planning on going to bed soon. Of course within minutes I was fully clothed and at my mother's bedside begging for her approval. She said yes as long as I updated her on how long I would be (I figured it would be two hours, tops).

After making a quick Wendy's run, we started into the work of editing the footage for a highlight reel.

Five and a half hours I worked.

From 11:30 PM to 5:00 AM I edited, searching through over an two hours of footage and separate footage for a total highlight reel time of 3 minutes. And right now, I am finally editing my masterpiece.

This is my biggest break in the field of editing. Forget that Wednesday the school played the copy of Ferris Bueller's Day Off that I edited, this actually will have my name attached. I am going to make it big. Just watch.

Girls

Hahahaha. Remember this post? Hahahahaha I am so stupid to think that I could just not like girls. But for reals this time. That girl that I liked for over two years? Not anymore. That girl I am really good friends with? Not going to be more than friends. That girl who asked for my number? Good luck with the rejection hotline (haha just kidding, but really, I won't be flirting with you via text). That girl who might have a crush on me that is really pretty and I would not dislike liking? She probably won't get to know me very well.
I am D-O-N-E with girls.

And I am happy with that.

Also, this.
I seriously almost urinated from excitement. I really did. It made me explode with pure excitement. I LOVE SUPERMAN. SO MUCH. I SHOULD STOP yelling.

Well that was the worst and the best

I had a bad day because of a certain teacher. I don't want to think about that. I had a great day today. Trevor and I went shopping for our priest's quorum Graduation Party and then Taft, Trevor, Maren and I ate ice cream and worked on the guys' resumes and Maren's math homework. I cannot remember a day in my life in the past two months that compared to how relaxingly summerish it was.

After Trevor and Taft left, we decided to listen to Maren's iPod. You know how sometimes you are listening to your music with your friends and a kind of obscure song comes on and you feel compelled to explain what it is so they feel more comfortable? Prolly not, but I do that. So as we listened, she worked while I wrote recipes for my Prostart class (a class in which I passed the final today!). As we listened, I very much forgot we weren't listening to music I chose. A song came on which I love a ton, but I thought my friend might find it obscure. As I got her attention so I could explain, my heart melted with happiness because the music we were listening to was music she chose. I love my friend and her wonderful and unique taste in music. She truly is awesome.

Then we went to the graduation party. It was great. I will miss Dalton and Aaron and David and Hayden and Cooper. They really are great guys and I hope the best for them. While at the party, I needed to use a toilet for needs that not even a male could solve in a bush. That is when I found out that the bathrooms were locked. Which, of course, made me need to go ten times more. I called my friend Delanie, who lived nearby, and asked if I could use her bathroom. Is it bad that it didn't even faze her with my randomness and complete strangeness? Probably. I guess by now my friends are used to me asking random things like to use their bathroom. I am a weirdy. By far my favorite character in this whole franchise. His name is Gus, after all.

Also Trevor and I answered the girl who ruined my plans Saturday for Morp (coincidentally she ruined my plans by asking him). We broke apart mini powder sugar covered doughnuts that spelled out "YEEE." I think that conveyed the message.

Holy my goodness

I love this song mainly because it just doesn't end. So great. I have no clue why this band just entered my radar, but I love them. So much.

Busy

Here is a few reasons why I haven't blogged recently. On the bright side, I got a Viking blanket and $25.00, so it's fine.

I'm just a video making machine.I did it all with iMovie, too.

Stand alone

Non-Priesthood holders should watch this. Priesthood holders, good job.
It is funny how this talk came right at a time when I did not realize it applied. Here is the down low (like Elder Holland, I will be speaking boldly): Teenagers take way too many liberties when it comes to the opposite gender. I have never really realized how much it surrounded me until just barely. I have had strong anti-relationship advocates fall for a pretty face and the words "stand alone" are becoming more prevalent to my life.
I want to make a commitment to you that I have already made to myself: I will not get into a relationship with or even kiss someone until after my mission. The youth of the church are taking principles like this less and less seriously, which is what leads to a downfall. Imagine a rock: if it gets smashed a hammer, you will instantly notice the jagged remains. But if a constant stream of water flows over it, the erosion is almost impossible to see. Although it takes time, our morals, like the rock, will wear away until we lose everything we once had.
If we are to get through this life, we just be completely true to the words of the prophet. Any step outside of what he says is not only risking your earthly happiness, it is risking your eternal salvation. Do not believe that what the world says is okay is. THe standards of the world and the standards of the church barely overlap. Turn to the prophet for guidance, not Justin Bieber. The Lord will not forsake you.
Sorry for going Word of God on you, I felt I needed to. Have a good day. No swearing.

Friends

Last night I had the chance to talk to some friends of mine who I won't get to see often. I hate goodbyes, but I love parting words. I hope to be quoted in my parting words with someone. Anyways, I talked with a good friend of mine. It was great. There are those people that you can talk to and you feel good. Content is irrelevant. You just enjoy each other's company. You don't worry about what you say, because they know you well enough to not care if you are a goofus. Here are a few of my friends that are like that:

Jessie Marquis
We had Health together, but thanks to Brock, we became friends. She is so nice and completely non-judgmental. I think that her soft-spoken nature is the best way you could be. I hate being so loud.

Keven Carlson
Keven is probably my oldest friend. We have been friends since before Kindergarten. He has great taste in music (with the except of country) and apparently we act similar. He and I are fools, so we work well together.
Delanie Doyle
She'll probably thank me profusely for putting her on my blog again. Delanie cares. She doesn't do it just for me, yet it feels special. She can make me happy about myself any day.
Taft Robinson & Trevor Ward
I was going to separate these guys, but they just work so well together. We have endless amounts of stories and could laugh for days for Daddy Cakes. We watch Goofy wash an elephant and play Gauntlet Legends. When we call each other, we don't really converse; we mostly just say random sentences then meet somewhere. What better way is there?
Zack Hulsey
Zack was one of the first senior friends I made at PGHS. He is so great and he is my hero.
Brock Duclos
As an older brother, he is caring. As a friend, he is loving. As a best friend, he is more than I could ask for. He's moving and we are brothers in the spirit and in the flesh.

I like not having to be liked. It is likable.

I have talents, kind of.

Here is a video I haven't shown ANYONE. I have been working on it for 169 days. I hope you like it.

I just like this one:
