Why sit at home when you can be adventurous?

Today is the only day I don't have work this week. Here is how my day was supposed to go:
  • Sleep in while I sit at home and do laundry while watching TV.
This is what really happened:
  • Woke up early and ate pancakes.
  • Mowed and weed-wacked the yard.
  • Went to the store and bought my niece a present (I also bought Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade).
  • Came home to do laundry and to watch said movie.
  • Ran down to Discovery Park to play volleyball.
  • Played volleyball with Nate Crosland, Sam Norton, Marci Johnson, and Kevin Fonseca.
  • Got a wife-beater sunburn from said volleyball.
  • Ate hotdogs for dinner.
  • Took shower #1.
  • Went to mutual.
  • Wrestled Taft Robinson for about a half hour.
  • Took shower #2.
  • Went to Josh Brown's house for night games.
  • Ran from Josh's house to the Stake Center (about one and one third mile, uphill).
  • Ran halfway back (I got caught).
  • Walked home from Isaac Major's house.
  • Stopped at Emma Busby's house to hang out with her and Seth Crandall.
  • Came home and drank half a gallon of water.
  • Started blogging.
  • Turned on Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
You can't plan days like this. I had too many overlappings and spur of the moment moments for a while. I just want some food and some sleep. I should try to relax on my days off.

Challenge

Lots of people want to have a post about them via Why It's Wyatt. So, I will issue a challenge. The next post will go to whoever can guess 85% (or higher) of these paper cutouts. I found them here, just F your information. If you do not know who it is, but know the part of pop culture it comes from (film, TV show, video game), just write that.

Unnecessary Grief

I like to cause unnecessary grief. Like on Saturday.3 minutes after I am supposed to be at the high school, I saw Nate Church from afar and decided to cause some stress:
His response is gold.

Some items that highlighted my week

  • Just knowing it was Strawberry Days.
  • Going on a date with Brooke Arney.
  • Finding this out (it's the first project)!
  • Getting an almost direct answer to my prayers from a scripture I had marked the night before.
  • Being able to help out with Huck Finn Day.
  • My niece, Ellie, grabbing my shoulder with one hand while riding a horse.
  • Going to a surprise party for my friend Chaz and fighting with noodles.
  • Being asked by one of my heroes, Nate Church, to be the mascot for the parade.
  • Being told by Mr. Beck that I would lose 4 lbs. during the parade, only to find out afterwards that he was not joking.
  • Walking out of the school (dressed as the Viking) and instantly getting a horde of girls hugging me.
  • Riding back to the high school without anyone dying.
  • Ninjaing my way into the high school with Nate.
  • Going to Yogurt Bliss and filling up on free samples.
  • Going shooting twice in 42 hours.
  • Not having to go to work today.
  • This:

Good bye, Strawberry Days. You have created many great memories that I will not soon forget.

I am a mutant

I'm just like these guys. Kind of.
So I love X-Men. Just the best. I have yet to see First Class, which angers me. I am a mutant, so eventually I will go to Professor X's School For Gifted Children. You may say, But that makes little to no sense, how are you a mutant? Well, I'll tell you. I have plenty of gifts:

  • I can dislocate all my ball and socket joints and put them back in without too much pain.
  • I heal really fast. Second degree burn, gone in 5 days.
  • I do not get sick easily. I have an impenetrable stomach.
  • My inner ear is impervious to spinning. I am pro at spinning.
  • I have nerves of steel. Like really, I need extra Novocain at the dentist and can feel the smallest of things.
My only real weakness is that I cannot digest lactose. Dang milk.

Best feelings in the world

You know, the stuff that makes you really happy

  • Waking up on General Conference Sunday to your mother preparing breakfast.
  • "Aha!" moments when you are reading the scriptures.
  • When your niece (maybe nephew, also, I don't have one) spontaneously hugs you and says, "I love you!"
  • After a long day of laborious work, finally turning off the light, closing your eyes and just relaxing into sleep.
  • Waking up just before your alarm, fully prepared for the day.
  • Taking a shower/bath after a camp out (especially week long trips).
  • Walking down Main Street USA and waiting for Disneyland to open.
  • Realizing that your friend is super amazing.
  • Eating Strawberries and Cream.
  • Proving a teacher wrong.
  • Bearing your testimony.
  • Seeing someone who you missed.
  • The moment you realize your hiccups are gone.
  • Starting a fire with one match.
  • Wake up to your alarm only to realize you just forgot to turn it off, then going back to sleep.
  • Finishing a great novel.
  • Finishing a Christopher Nolan film.
  • Sitting in your house talking to friends during a giant rainstorm.
  • Running around in a giant rainstorm.
  • Having a 1 on 1 snowball fight with your best friend in summer clothing.
  • Looking out on Utah Valley from the top of Mount Timpanogos.
  • Cliff jumping.
  • Finding something after days of searching (with plenty of praying).
  • Opening the door of the car that transported you from winter Utah to beautiful California and feeling the temperature rise 20˚.
  • Thinking about almost lost memories that are fond.
  • What you feel as you do service with your whole heart.
  • Applying the Atonement to your life.
  • Being friends with those who need it.

Why I will never complain about sunburns.

For those of you who are squeamish, do not view this post.

Like seriously. I was crying during Strawberry Days. It was really bad. How bad? You may ask. Well second degree bad (which, if you continue, you will see causes blisters). Wear sunscreen, kids.

And that is why I can stand a tiny bit of red skin.

Three girls

(Names have and have not been mentioned on purpose. If you would like to know of whom I speak, message me and I may tell you).

I have a crush on this girl. I would like to say either she is just my friend or she hates me or she absolutely loves me, but I just do not know. Sometimes she ignores me and other times she is saying that I am the greatest person ever. She may know I have a crush on her, but she may also think of me as a little brother. I just can't tell. I usually pick up on stuff like that if I try, but with her it's impossible.

It is really annoying. I don't know how to talk to her because of it. It is unfathomable. I am pretty smart, so something I cannot even begin to figure out bugs the hello out of me. I just wish people, girls especially, would just speak their mind. In most cases, that is what I do. For the most part, that is why people hate me, but it is one of my favorite qualities (a little narcissism never hurt anyone). So everyone, just speak your mind so I can have less of a headache.

There is this other girl, on whom I do not have a crush. She is friends with my brother and my neighbor across the street, Evan Kirby. She was also in my seminary class. So why do I feel that she dislikes me and resents me? I did nothing to her in recollection that would cause this bad feelings, but they seem to be there nonetheless. I just can't catch a break.

The final girl. Kirsten Goodman. I have always thought that she seemed super awesome, though I hadn't ever spoken to her until one day just before seminary. The main reason why I never talked with her is because she was hanging around a guy that did not like me in the slightest. For some reason, however, just before seminary started, I went for it: I spoke to her. And believe it or not, she is super awesome. So we became friends. Our seminary classes were across the hall from each other so we could converse until the bell rang and not be tardy. She is a great woman.

The thing about Kirsten is that she doesn't seem to understand how amazingly awesome, beautiful, clever and terrific she is. She needs to realize that not everyone is as fantastic as her. I love the way that she was so nice to me even though she didn't even really know who I was. (For those less comfortable with creeps, skip this next part) I have known who she was since I was in seventh grade and I have always wished to become her friend. She is the best.

The Mariner's Revenge Song

Watch it. Love it.

And that is how I quite my first job.

I haven't quite managed to quit just yet, but it will happen soon. Stuff like this weekend must come to an end. It's ridiculous that I am only scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. I mean, seriously. Then stuff like last night. After finishing a seven hour shift, I check to see if I may go home. No, because that would be WAY to convenient for me. I have to do go-backs (basically putting stuff back that people brought to the register and did not want to buy). With a full cart of go-backs, sore legs, and my father waiting for me, I was not a courteous Courtesy Clerk. Such a joke. Luckily, with the help of my dad, I managed to finish in a half hour. Once tamsolutions tells me I have a job, I will two-week-notice my butt out of there.

From what I just wrote, it may seem like the worst to work at Macey's. However, there are some highlights. Like my favorite guest ever. As a fat lady passed in front of her car, a woman rolled down her window and asked me how many points she would get if she were to hit the large woman with her car. She totally made my night.

Another highlight is this: cream. Not just any cream, but the cream for strawberries and cream. It is nice to be able to eat strawberries and cream for dinner whilst on my break. I had to pay $11.00 extra because I needed Lactade pills (due to my intolerance to the sugar in milk), but it was so worth it.

Macey's may pay well and have strawberries and cream, but let's face it, on a Friday night I would much rather be with a girl.

Taft, Trevor and Wyatt: Dating Professionals

So life goals complete. Three goals, to be exact. First, I triple dated with two of my best friends. Second, we did the thing we wanted to do as a date for as long as we considered dating. Third, I got to go on a date with one of the most beautiful friends I have, Kellee Walker.

Goal #1:
Taft, Trevor and I have been friends for a while. We started talking about dating about a year ago. Taft was about to turn 16 and Trevor and I were following. We talked about tripling. Then Taft's dad lost his job (or something like that). I was so scared of losing one of my best friends. He already had a house to live in in Idaho. Trevor and I decided to plan road trips up there just to hang out with him. He was going to leave at the end of the year, just before my 16th. It would suck. But then we were in the clear. His dad got a job. It almost did not happen, but it did.

Goal #2:
We went to one of the most peaceful places in the world. Among the giant mountains, there is one place that is almost always perfect: Indian Springs. With that terrific tasting aquifer, the wonderful songs frogs flying around, and the relaxing wind. It is the best place to be and I love going up there. Many prophets of old went into the mountains to speak to God, which I totally understand. It is amazing and being with my best friends and some great, virtuous young women. I love that place so much.

Goal #3:
Every since 7th grade, there has been a great daughter of God who has affected my life greatly. That young woman is Kellee Walker. She is a great woman, and I got the pleasure of going up to the best place in the world with her. It was a blast, holey pants and all. Thanks for running with me. You're the best.

And... pictures:

Here's a bad idea, take a close up of my face. Thanks, Taft.

Taft and Mattie on the way up.
The stunning Kellee Walker.
Sitting on the dead man's bench, right before we called Pablo Blaqk.

My face later went into a hole.

A really cute picture if you cover the left half.
Blinking on purpose just to keep my arm there. Such a stud.
Trevor and Makenzi Richards.

Mattie appears to be floating. It's no big deal.

Not too sure why they did this, I think they thought it smelled like a vegetable.

Blinking on purpose again. Such a stud.
Looking good.
This is why you never give me a camera. Ha

See above for details.
They aren't getting married. But the do look kind of cute.
Indian Springs is so stunningly beautiful.

Ti chi.

The whole lot.

The good looking half.

The stooges.

Afterwards at Yogurt Bliss.

I may or may not have gotten dirt all over the whitest couch known to man.
